Hello!
As you already know I am an architecture student, and I will tell you about the curriculum. First, we have a fundamental subject in the career that is Workshop, which is maintained for all the years advancing in its contents as you pass the courses, there are also courses of theory and history, urban problems and of course calculation of structures. I think that this study programme lacks a computer course, where they can teach the different programmes used for projects such as AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, Photoshop, etc. The university course lasts 5 and a half years and I think it's fine, but the demands are sometimes too high, and you get stressed.
I study at
the FAU (Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of Chile), the
facilities of the University are spacious, but they lack better thermal
insulation because in winter they are very cold :( and there is also a lack of more green areas.
We
architecture students use the computer a lot and we are always using programs
that give us the possibility to model our projects and we are always up to date
with new technologies.
Finally, I
would like to talk about the teachers, I think that each teacher has different
teaching methods and evaluates differently but in general they are all
excellent, although there are always exceptions haha
Here are
some pictures of my faculty, see you!
I agree that the teachers are great
